Beltone 10 Battery

Beltone 10 hearing aid battery

The Beltone 10 battery is a disposable zinc-air battery for hearing aids designed to use size 10 batteries.

Size 10 batteries use the standard yellow colour code, making them easy to distinguish from other common hearing aid battery sizes such as 13, 312 and 675.

Compact zinc-air battery for smaller hearing aids

Size 10 is the smallest of the commonly used standardized hearing aid battery sizes and is often found in compact in-the-ear and CIC hearing aids.

Beltone size 10 batteries use zinc-air technology. The battery remains inactive while the protective tab is in place and begins to activate once the tab is removed and air reaches the battery.

Important information about zinc-air batteries

Zinc-air batteries are activated by oxygen. Once the protective tab has been removed, the battery begins to activate and cannot be returned to its inactive state.

Beltone recommends waiting about one minute after removing the tab before inserting the battery into the hearing aid. This allows the battery to absorb enough oxygen to activate properly.

Tips for hearing aid batteries

• Keep the protective tab in place until you are ready to use the battery.
• Store unused batteries at room temperature in a dry place.
• Do not store loose batteries together with coins, keys or other metal objects.
• Keep batteries out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not attempt to recharge disposable zinc-air batteries.
