• Open domes allow ambient sounds (like your own voice) to enter naturally, reducing the “plugged” sensation.

How to choose the right size

SF2 domes come in various lengths – typically 5 mm, 7 mm, 10 mm – and are matched to the depth of your ear canal. Test different lengths to find one that sits comfortably without protruding or slipping. The correct fit ensures optimal seal, prevents whistling, and supports better amplification.

Replacement and installation

Replace your SF2 dome every 1–2 months, or sooner if it hardens, discolors, or reduces clarity. Here’s how you do it:

• Gently twist and pull the old dome off the receiver tip.
• Wipe the receiver with a soft cloth to remove eventual earwax or other dirt.
• Push the new dome on until it fits flush and can’t be easily pulled off.
