ReSound Size 13 hearing aid battery

This disposable zinc-air battery provides power for hearing aids designed to use the standard size 13 format. Size 13 batteries are identified by their orange colour code, making them easy to distinguish from size 10, 312 and 675 batteries.

Zinc-air technology

The battery uses zinc-air chemistry and remains inactive while the protective tab is attached. Once the tab is removed, oxygen enters the battery and starts the activation process.

Only remove the tab when you are ready to use the battery, as the activation process cannot be reversed.

How to activate a zinc-air battery

1. Remove the protective tab from the new battery.
2. Allow the battery a short moment to activate in the air.
3. Insert it into the hearing aid with the polarity positioned correctly.
4. Close the battery compartment carefully.

If the battery compartment does not close easily, check the orientation of the battery rather than forcing it.

Tips for hearing aid batteries

• Leave the protective tab in place until the battery is needed.
• Store unused batteries in a dry place at normal room temperature.
• Keep loose batteries away from coins, keys and other metal objects.
• Keep hearing aid batteries out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not attempt to recharge disposable zinc-air batteries.
