Why Choose Bernafon SpiraFlex Domes

There are five different types of Bernafon Domes, and the choice of dome alters the sound characteristics.

Open Domes:

Open domes are suitable if you prefer a non-occluded feeling in the ear canal and want ventilation. They are used for mild to moderate amplification needs.

Closed Domes with Small or Large Ventilation:

Closed domes provide a more intense sound experience as they close off the ear more. This effectively prevents the hearing aids from whistling, as amplified sounds can’t escape the ear canal. The closed domes feature ventilation with one or two vents, depending on whether you desire large or small ventilation. They provide a freeing, ventilating sensation and an intense sound experience. Typically used for moderate to severe hearing loss or when bass reinforcement is a priority.

Tulip Domes:

Tulip domes have a gradually tapering shape, combining features of both closed and open domes. They offer ventilation in the ear canal while providing a more intense sound experience.

Power Domes:

Power domes provide the most intense sound experience. With two seals, they ensure a good fit and effectively block out other sounds. Power domes have the least ventilation and the most occluded sensation.
