Over time, thin tubes can become stiff, discolored, or brittle — compromising sound quality and comfort. For optimal performance, it’s important to assess the tubing’s condition regularly. If a tube remains bent after gently squeezing it, it’s time for a replacement.

Step-by-step guide to replacing your Danalogic thin tubes

  1. Identify the correct size and side: thin tubes come in left (blue) and right (red) markings, as well as various lengths. Match your replacement tube to your current one.

  2. Remove the old tube: hold the hearing aid firmly and gently twist the tube connector to unscrew it from the device.

  3. Detach the dome: if you plan to reuse the dome, pull it off the old tube and set it aside. If the dome is worn or over a month old, replace it as well.

  4. Fit the new tube: align the connector of the new tube with the hearing aid socket, then twist gently until secure.

  5. Attach the dome: push your chosen dome firmly onto the end of the new tube, ensuring it is seated securely.

  6. Test for comfort and clarity: place the hearing aid in your ear, check that it feels comfortable, and listen for clear sound without feedback.
