Toslink Cable for ReSound TV Streamer 2

The Toslink Cable for ReSound TV Streamer 2 is an optical digital audio cable used to connect the streamer directly to a compatible TV, stereo system or other audio source with an optical digital audio output.

One end of the cable connects to the optical input on the ReSound TV Streamer 2, while the other connects to the optical output on the audio source.

Digital optical connection

The ReSound TV Streamer 2 supports optical Toslink input as one of its digital audio connection options.

A Toslink connection carries the audio signal digitally using optical transmission. This makes it a useful option when your TV or other audio source has a dedicated optical digital audio output.

How to connect the cable

1. Remove any protective caps from the ends of the optical cable.
2. Insert one end into the optical audio input on the ReSound TV Streamer 2.
3. Insert the other end into the TV or audio source port marked Digital Audio Out, Optical or Toslink.
4. Make sure the TV Streamer 2 is connected to power.

Do not force the connector into the socket. Toslink connectors only fit correctly in one orientation.

Compatibility

This cable is designed for the ReSound TV Streamer 2 and audio sources equipped with a compatible optical digital audio output.

The TV Streamer 2 supports digital audio through both optical Toslink and coaxial inputs. If your audio source does not have an optical output, a different connection method may be required.

Supported digital audio formats

The ReSound TV Streamer 2 supports Stereo PCM through its digital inputs and also supports selected Dolby Digital signals. Some formats, including Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and AAC, are not supported.

If you do not hear sound after connecting the cable, check the audio output settings on your TV and select a supported digital audio format.
