GN Microphone Filter for ReSound ONE BTE

The GN Microphone Filter is a replacement microphone protection filter for compatible ReSound ONE behind-the-ear hearing aids.

The filters sit over the hearing aid microphones and help protect the microphone openings from dust, dirt and other particles that could interfere with sound pickup.

For ReSound ONE BTE hearing aids

This microphone filter is intended for the following ReSound ONE BTE models:

• ReSound ONE RT977
• ReSound ONE RT988

Because microphone filters differ between hearing aid styles and generations, always make sure your hearing aid uses this specific filter system before ordering.

Built-in removal and replacement tool

Each microphone filter is supplied on a small replacement tool with two ends:

• Removal end: Used to collect and remove the old microphone filter.
• Replacement end: Holds the new microphone filter ready for installation.

This means you do not need a separate tool to replace the filter.

Why replace the microphone filter?

The microphones on the back of the hearing aid rely on clear openings to pick up surrounding sound correctly. Over time, dirt and other particles can build up around the filter and reduce its effectiveness. ReSound recommends checking the microphone filters if you notice poorer sound quality or increased difficulty determining where sounds are coming from.

How to replace the microphone filter

1. Take one filter tool from the package.
2. Use the removal end to lift out the old microphone filter.
3. Turn the tool around.
4. Use the opposite end to insert the new microphone filter.
5. Check that the new filter sits securely in place.

When should the filter be replaced?

There is no fixed replacement interval that suits every user. Check the microphone filters regularly and replace them if they become visibly dirty, damaged or blocked, or if you notice a deterioration in sound quality.
