Standard Dome RIE (NP/LP)

Standard dome for NP and LP Receivers

This standard dome is designed for compatible GN hearing aids using NP or LP receiver systems. The dome sits at the end of the receiver and provides a soft, ventilated earpiece inside the ear canal.

Compared with the domes used for S and HP2 receivers, this dome has a larger attachment opening where it connects to the receiver.

Available sizes

The standard NP/LP dome is available in several sizes so the fit can match the ear canal:

• Small: 5 mm
• Medium: 7 mm
• Large: 10 mm

The measurement refers to the widest part of the dome. If you are replacing an existing dome, choose the same size as the one currently fitted unless your hearing care professional has recommended a change.

Open and ventilated fit

The ventilation openings allow airflow into the ear canal and create a more open fitting than a closed or power-style dome. This can help reduce the blocked or occluded feeling that some users experience with more sealing earpieces.

Compatibility

These domes are intended for selected ReSound, Beltone and Interton RIE hearing aids using compatible NP or LP receiver systems.

Known compatible ReSound families include selected Alera RIE, Verso RIE and LiNX models using the older NP/LP receiver connection.

They are not intended for S or HP2 receivers, which use a smaller dome connection and different replacement domes.

When should the dome be replaced?

Check the dome regularly for earwax, damage, hardening or discolouration. Replace it when it becomes blocked, loose, worn or no longer attaches securely to the receiver. If the hearing aid sounds weak or muffled even though the dome looks clean, also check the wax filter and receiver for blockage.

How to replace the dome

1. Gently remove the old dome from the receiver.
2. Check the receiver and wax filter for earwax or damage.
3. Select a new dome in the same size.
4. Push it firmly onto the receiver connection.
5. Check that it is securely attached before placing the hearing aid in your ear.
